Application of PPS in hydrogen fuel cell system


Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) has excellent comprehensive properties, including high temperature resistance, creep resistance, good rigidity, chemical stability, good adhesion to various fillers and reinforcements, precision injection molding, excellent electrical properties and flame retardancy, and is a high-quality alternative material for metals and ceramics.

In addition, its excellent electrical insulation and low particle precipitation rate are very suitable for the use of reactor parts, specific applications include:CFRTP


(1) Gas end plate: PPS is used to manufacture key components of the reactor, such as the gas end plate of the reactor. It needs to meet the requirements of high insulation, high temperature resistance, high strength, limit to withstand 10T tension, vibration and other harsh environments and harsh conditions of use.


(2) Manifold: In the stack system, it is connected to the electrochemical unit components, play the role of distribution and collection of gas, so that hydrogen, air, water and other media through the manifold to achieve the cycle in the system, and integrated sensors and controllers, the flow of the medium to monitor and control.


(3) Stack structural components: PPS is used to manufacture the structural components in the stack system, which provide support for the installation and positioning of components in the system.

In addition, PPS has excellent high strength, V0 flame retardant and excellent thermal stability, making it an ideal choice for manufacturing high-strength molded parts, widely used in engine intake manifolds, cylinder heads, oil pans and new energy batteries.
